The Mississippi Mills Community Fund envisions a flourishing community where every resident has access to the resources they need to succeed. Through strategic investments and community-driven initiatives, we aim to enhance the quality of life for all, ensuring that our town continues to grow and prosper for generations to come.
We are proud to be housed under the Ottawa Community Foundation. This partnership provides us with expert fund management, governance, and grant administration, while allowing our fund to remain locally driven and community focused.
Mississippi Mills Community Fund
Founding Circle members are the ‘early believers’ who helped bring the Mississippi Mills Community Fund to life. Their generosity launched a permanent, community-led fund, being built to support local priorities today and for generations to come.
We didn’t just meet our $50,000 goal, we exceeded it, raising $67,546 and showing what our community can achieve together.

Mississippi Mills is a place where neighbours look out for each other. From Almonte to Pakenham, Appleton to Clayton and Blakeney, we rally when someone needs a hand.
The Mississippi Mills Community Fund is a way to turn that neighbourly spirit into something permanent. By building this endowment together, we’re creating a local “savings account” for the community—one that will support charities and projects here at home for generations to come.
This first $67,546 is our launch pad. It’s our chance to say: we’re planning ahead, investing locally, and making sure Mississippi Mills continues to thrive.
We invite neighbours, friends and local businesses to donate to reach our goal of $50,000.
Your gift is pooled in a permanent endowment and professionally invested for the long term.
Every year, earnings support local charities and community projects in Mississippi Mills.
Make a secure online donation in just a few minutes. You’ll receive a charitable tax receipt from our partner, the Ottawa Community Foundation, for eligible gifts.
Prefer to give by cheque or through your financial institution? No problem. For gifts of securities or other options, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
You can multiply your impact by inviting others to give.
If you’d like to learn more, explore a larger gift, or talk about how this fund could align with your family, business, or group, we’d be happy to connect.
Email us at info@mmcommunityfund.ca or use the form and someone from the Community Fund Steering Committee will be in touch.
