Mississippi Mills Community Fund

GIVE LOCAL

GROW LOCAL

With gratitude to OUR FOUNDING CIRCLE who laid the foundation for our 'forever' fund.

Founding Circle members are the ‘early believers’ who helped bring the Mississippi Mills Community Fund to life. Their generosity launched a permanent, community-led fund, being built to support local priorities today and for generations to come.

We didn’t just meet our $50,000 goal, we exceeded it, raising $67,546 and showing what our community can achieve together.

Why a community fund, and why now?

Mississippi Mills is a place where neighbours look out for each other. From Almonte to Pakenham, Appleton to Clayton and Blakeney, we rally when someone needs a hand.

The Mississippi Mills Community Fund is a way to turn that neighbourly spirit into something permanent. By building this endowment together, we’re creating a local “savings account” for the community—one that will support charities and projects here at home for generations to come.

This first $67,546 is our launch pad. It’s our chance to say: we’re planning ahead, investing locally, and making sure Mississippi Mills continues to thrive.

“The Mississippi Mills Community Fund is about neighbours helping neighbours. This grassroots initiative turns today’s generosity into lasting impact. Every gift, big or small, helps strengthen our community for generations to come. “
Christa Lowry
Mayor of Mississippi Mills
